Founded in 1995 by the Oneida Nation and a group of five Green Bay area businessmen, Bay Bank intended to provide the Green Bay area community with a locally controlled financial institution. The bank was founded in 1907, the year Indian Territory and Oklahoma Territory united as the State of Oklahoma, by a group of prominent members of the Cherokee tribe.
